Three things live on this page and they are easy to confuse, so they are kept apart: the refund we promise (7 free days, then 14 days from any charge), the statutory right of withdrawal the law gives you, and the tick on the page before the card that starts you today and swaps the one for the other.
Your first 7 days are free. Cancel in them and you are never charged at all. That is the simplest case and it needs no policy.
When the free week ends and the first charge is taken, a 14-day refund window opens: write to support@cardigani.app and it comes back. No questions, no reasons, no forms. The same 14 days apply to every later charge — a renewal, a switch of plan, the lifetime licence.
This is more generous than the law requires. It is deliberate: at this price, arguing with someone who is unhappy costs more than the refund does.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, normally within 5–10 working days depending on your bank.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) gives you 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw from it, without giving any reason and without penalty.
For digital content and services supplied immediately, that right can be lost — but only if all three of the following happened: you gave prior express consent for supply to begin during the withdrawal period, you acknowledged that you thereby lose the right, and we confirmed that to you on a durable medium.
That is exactly what the tick on the page before the card is for, and why it is never pre-ticked.
Before the card is taken you are shown an unticked box. It reads, word for word:
*Start today. Your first 7 days are free — cancel in them and you are never charged. When the free week ends and the first charge is taken, a 14-day refund window opens: write to me and it comes back, no questions. Tick this to start now; it also confirms that once the free week is over and the first charge is taken, the legal 14-day right to withdraw is replaced by that refund promise.*
Ticking it is what starts you today. It is unticked, it is separate from accepting the terms, and it is the express request and the acknowledgement the law asks for — said together with the 14-day refund promise that replaces the statutory right, so nobody is giving anything up without knowing what they get instead. A pre-ticked box, silence, or a consent bundled into the terms would not qualify, so ours is a distinct, active step. The wording you saw, with this page's version, is recorded against your account.
Beside the button on the card page you read a sentence beginning "By pressing the button you order with an obligation to pay", with the amount and the date. That wording is required: where a trader hides the obligation behind "Continue" or "Confirm", the consumer is not bound by the contract at all. We would rather be plain than clever.
There is a withdrawal button in your account. Directive (EU) 2023/2673 requires an on-site withdrawal function for contracts concluded through an online interface, applicable since 19 June 2026. Press it, confirm, and you will receive an automated acknowledgement on a durable medium confirming the date and time we received it.
You do not have to use the button. A plain statement in an email to support@cardigani.app — "I withdraw from my contract" — is equally effective, and the date we receive it is the date that counts.
If you prefer the standard form, this is the model set out in Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU:
To: Ivan Aleksandrov Naydenov, bul. Iztochen 75, fl. 2, ap. 16, 4000 Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Bulgaria — support@cardigani.app I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following service: Ordered on: ...................................................... Name of consumer: ................................................ Address of consumer: ............................................. Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): .................. Date: ............................................................
We reimburse all payments received, using the same means of payment you used, within 14 days of being told. There is no fee for withdrawing.
If you asked for the service to begin during the withdrawal period and then withdraw anyway, the law allows us to charge for the part already supplied, in proportion. We do not. Under the refund promise at the top of this page you get the whole amount back.
Access ends when the refund is made. Export keeps working until then, so you can take your decks with you — and you should.
A subscription can be cancelled at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access to the end of the period already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods after the first 14 days, but nor do we bill you again.
A lifetime licence is not refundable after 14 days, because there is no future period to refund. What continues to apply is the legal guarantee of conformity in the Terms: if the service is broken or is not what it was described to be, you have rights regardless of when you bought it, and this policy does not touch them.
If something has gone genuinely wrong, write anyway. The 14 days are a promise, not a shutter.
